Privacy Policy

Every goal, task, habit, book, reading log, and expense you add, along with any photos you attach to a goal or book, is stored in a local database on your device. This applies to the core trackers, Goals, Tasks, Habits, Books, and Expenses, and none of it is sent to us or to any server we operate. It doesn't apply to Shared Tasks (Circle), which is covered in its own section below.

Your profile name, photo, and currency preference used by the core app work the same way: stored locally, never transmitted.

Shared Tasks, which we call Circle in the app, is entirely optional. Nothing else in Lifegram ever requires an account. If you choose to use it, you sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication), and Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with the app so we can identify you to the people you connect with.

Once you sign in for Circle, the following is stored on our servers (specifically Cloud Firestore, using Cloud Functions and Firebase Cloud Messaging to run the feature, all Google Cloud services processed under Google's own terms, the same framing as the Analytics section below):

• Your profile: user ID, email address, display name, a reference to your avatar or profile photo, a push-notification token for your device, your connection code, and the list of people you're connected to.
• Each shared task: its title, description, due date, priority, who assigned it and who it's assigned to, completion status and time, and the recurrence pattern for repeating tasks.

Important:people you connect with in Circle can see your display name, profile photo, and email address. If you've never set a display name, the app falls back to showing your email address to your connections instead, so they'll see one or the other. Keep this in mind before connecting with someone.

If you choose to turn on Google Drive backup, a copy of your local database and settings is uploaded to a hidden, app-private folder in your own Google account (Google calls this the appDataFolder). It isn't visible in your regular Google Drive file list, and Ashtec Apps never has access to it, only your signed-in Lifegram app does.

You can delete a backup at any time from inside the app, or remove it entirely by revoking Lifegram's access from your Google Account. See Delete Your Data for the exact steps.

Premium is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play Billing (or Apple's App Store on iOS). Lifegram never sees or stores your payment card details, only a confirmation from the platform that the purchase went through.

Lifegram uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both Google services) to understand which features are used and to catch bugs before they affect more people. This can include anonymized usage events (like which screen you opened), your device model and OS version, app version, and crash logs. It does not include the content of your goals, tasks, habits, books, or expenses.

On Android, the app requests the Advertising ID permission (AD_ID). We don't show ads or use any ad SDK, this exists solely because Firebase Analytics uses it for attribution. You won't see ads as a result of this.

This data is processed by Google under its own privacy terms. You can read more about how Firebase handles data on Google's Firebase privacy and security documentation.

• Camera / Photos, when you choose to attach a photo to a goal or book, or set a profile avatar for Circle.
• Notifications, for two things: local habit reminders you set yourself, and, if you use Shared Tasks (Circle), push notifications for things like a new task assigned to you, a nudge from a connection, a task being completed, or someone new connecting with you.
• Biometrics / device credential, only if you turn on System Lock. Verification happens entirely through your device's own operating system. Lifegram never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data, or PIN.
• Internet access, required for signing in, syncing Shared Tasks (Circle), and Google Drive backup.

• We don't show ads or use ad-tracking SDKs.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We don't require an account to use the core app (Goals, Tasks, Habits, Books, Expenses) for free. This isn't true for Shared Tasks (Circle), which requires signing in with Google.

Your local data (Goals, Tasks, Habits, Books, Expenses) lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself. A Google Drive backup persists until you delete it. Uninstalling the app doesn't remove that backup automatically, since it's designed to survive a reinstall.

Shared Tasks (Circle) data persists on our servers until you ask us to delete it. Disconnecting from someone in the app stops new notifications and nudges between you, but it does not delete the shared task history you built together, or your own profile data, that's a deliberate choice so a disconnect doesn't erase shared history out from under the other person. Lifegram is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
